The Ultimate Sports Floor

With Progressive Shock Absorption

Boflex Olympia

Hardwood Performance Flooring

Boflex has the unique combination of a built-in shock absorption system with a stable construction that can withstand almost unlimited loads.  At 30mm (1.18″) Boflex Olympia is one of the lowest profile, best performing wood sports flooring options available – also testing to 60% Shock Absorption per EN14904.  The proprietary Boflex under-structure allows the floor to never compress more than 50%, making it the perfect system for use beneath heavy bleachers – without sacrificing performance in the floor when the bleachers are retracted.  This uniform performance is suitable for both children and adults, and the Boflex system performs the same after twenty years as it did on day one.

Boflex can be installed anywhere hardwood would be considered, such as, but not limited to the following applications – Basketball Courts, Performing Arts Spaces, Group Exercise, Aerobics, and Yoga Studios, as well as Multi-Purpose Rooms.

Engineered vs Solid Hardwood Sports Flooring

Boflex Olympia features a 5.5mm thick hardwood wearlayer, which equals, and in some cases exceeds the amount of a solid hardwood floor that can be sanded (5.5mm is generally the amount of wood left above the nail-head on solid systems).

The 5.5mm of finished hardwood used in the Boflex Olympia system, would equate to 27% of the finished hardwood used in a solid system (Based on 25/32″ wood).  From an environmental standpoint, if we used the same amount of finished hardwood, a 5,000 SF solid hardwood installation would use as much finished hardwood as an 18,000 SF Boflex Olympia installation.
